Dr. Deocampo has over 30 years of experience conducting scientific and technical research projects and applied consulting around the world. He has published over 55 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has led projects funded by the US National Science Foundation, the US Geological Survey, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Petroleum Research Fund, and the Departments of Transportation in both California and Georgia. He has presented his collaborative research on both basic and applied research topics at universities, conferences, and workshops on four continents, including at the White House. Dr. Deocampo is an expert in the mineralogy and geochemistry of near surface environments, including aquatic systems, soils, and sediments. He served as a Full Professor and Associate Dean at Georgia State University, President of H2OTECH, Inc, the non-profit Water Technology Innovation Cluster serving the Southeast US, and is now Chief Scientific Officer at Nalari Scientific in Atlanta. At Nalari, he has led projects funded by the US Department of Transportation and the US Department of Agriculture.
